The University of South Carolina encourages all students, faculty and staff to get vaccinated against COVID-19.  Use the Vaccine Locator to find a vaccine clinic near you.

 

USCB's Campus Health Protocols

  • Masks are optional in all campus buildings for students, employees, and visitors.  Read the CDCs latest guidelines of the use and care of masks. 
  • All students, employees, and visitors are encouraged to maintain 3-foot physical distancing when indoors on all USCB campuses.

  • As of May 16, 2022, the university is no longer conducting universal contact tracing and there is no longer a requirement to report COVID to the Public Health Response team.

Employees

  1. If you suspect you are positive, stay home and get tested as soon as possible. The Test to Treat Locator is a great resource to find testing and/or obtain anti-viral treatment. 
  2. Notify your immediate supervisor if you are COVID suspect or COVID positive. 
  3. Employees are expected to self-isolate for 5 days from the date symptoms began. Please use the CDC COVID Calculator as a resource to determine end dates. 
  4. Employees may return to work after the 5 day self-isolation period provided symptoms have improved, and must wear a mask on campus for the next 5 days. 

For faculty who may be teaching courses over the summer term, please use these guidelines for students. 

Students
