Welcome Back Week Part-time Job Fair

11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. / Bluffton Campus Rec Center

Welcome back to campus! Are you needing a part-time job in the Bluffton area? Join the Part-time Job Fair on Wednesday, August 17, 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. We'll be in the Rec Center gym. You can dress casually. Registration will be at the door.

Employers , if you are seeking students to work part-time in the Bluffton area please register through Handshake to reserve your table. Space is limited, so don't delay!

Career Fun-shops

Career Fun-shops are not your ordinary workshops. These are opportunities to take a break and have fun while you learn about important career information from Career Services. Each Fun-shop has a yummy theme and we'll have fun with the photo booth while we tackle the topics.

Milkshakes & Handhshake!

Let's have fun while we learn about Handshake, USCB's new career management system and job posting board. Handshake is the #1 system college students use to find jobs all around the country. Learn about this new resource while sipping a thick and creamy milkshake. Please register in Handshake or email careerservices@uscb.edu .

Eclairs for Career Fairs!

September 28 & 29, 2022

October is Career Fair month, so let's get ready now! Learn how to  navigate virtual career fairs on Handshake and in-person career fairs on campus. You'll learn what to bring, how to dress, and how to introduce yourself to an employer. Enjoy a sweet eclair during the presentation. Please register in Handshake or email careerservices@uscb.edu .

OCTOBER EVENTS

Information Technology VIRTUAL Career Fair

October 11, 2022

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

This virtual career fair is for Computational Science and Information Science & Technology (ISAT) majors. This is the first ever virtual career fair for our campus and the first for these majors! 

Employers, please join this event if you have entry-level, internship, co-op, or volunteer positions to fill. Our Computational Science students are well versed in programming high-level languages, developing computer simulations and models, and applying methods to manage data across disciplines. Our Information Science & Technologystudents gain knowledge and technical skills in both information processing and technology management.  USCB also offers a bachelor of science in Information Science & Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity.

Healthcare Career Fair

11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. / Bluffton Campus Rec Center

Back by popular demand, the Healthcare Career Fair returns to campus this fall. Students interested in healthcare careers should join this event no matter what your major. However, if you are a Public Health major, Nursing major, or Pre-Med major this event should not be missed!

Employers and graduate programs, please join this event if you have entry-level, internship, co-op, or volunteer positions to fill. A variety of students will be joining this event. Their interests include administrative and public health careers. Future nurses and doctors will also be participating.

Business & Communication Studies Career Fair

October 19 & 20, 2022

11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. / Bluffton Campus, Hargray Lobby

Another event returning by popular demand, but in a new location and with an extended two-day time frame, is the Business & Communication Studies Career Fair. A variety of organizations will be on hand recruiting for internships, management training opportunities, marketing positions, and accounting roles. This event is open to the entire campus community, but if you are a Business or Communication Studies major this event should not be missed!

Employers, this is an intimate career fair taking place over two days. (Please only register for one day.) The location in the Hargray building lobby makes it ideal for our Business and Communication Studies students.  Our Business students have concentrations in management, marketing, and accounting. Our Communication Studies students come from a diverse, interdisciplinary major that allows them to focus on multiple approaches to communication. 

Career Spotlight - Curtis Benzle presents  "All Artists Making a Living"

Studio Arts majors, this is a career spotlight for you! Curtis Benzle is an artist who will tackle to topic of how to make a living from your art. He will present his "Three Part Plan to Financial Success as an Artist." This is a joint presentation between USCB Career Services and the Studio Arts program.

Career Fun-shop: Festive Coolers for Future Grad Schoolers!

5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Let's finish the semester with a Career Fun-shop where you will learn the ins-and-outs of the graduate school application process. We've invited the University of South Carolina's Director of Graduate School Recruitment, Wright Culpepper, for this very informative session. He will join us virtually, but we will meet in-person and enjoy some festive holiday mocktails.
